"I didn't choose music... It chose me."

Born in New York and raised in Miami, music found Tommy at a very early age. Completely self-taught and without any type of formal lessons, Tommy displayed an uncanny ear for music, and by his early teens, played several instruments, including: drums, guitar, piano, and bass. During this time, he also developed a strong singing voice, which eventually led him to fronting several bands, achieving local, regional and even national recognition, among them, The Tomboys (formerly The Boys), The Basics, GOZA, and The Four O’clock Balloon. Press and media coverage for the above acts would include Billboard Magazine, The Miami Herald, The Village Voice (NY), L.A. Weekly, and The New Times, among others. By his mid-twenties, Tommy found himself immersed in studio sessions as a guitarist and vocalist.

The studio work led to touring with Gloria Estefan, Steve Winwood, Carol King, Jon Secada, and for 20+ years now, Santana. He has traveled alongside and shared the road with the Allman Brothers, Rod Stewart, Steve Miller, The Doobie Brothers, the Counting Crows, Earth Wind and Fire and many more. Personal highlights would be performing with Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, and BB King. His recording credits are extensive, including Santana, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Lerner, and a Who’s Who of the Miami recording scene (click here for a partial discography). Tommy also found his way on to televisions commercials, radio spots, jingles and movie soundtracks, which includes singing on the closing theme "A Love Before Time”, for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. He has been recognized as a writer/producer, winning several ASCAP awards, including the prestigious El Premio ASCAP Award for composing the FIFA World Cup theme in 2021. With partners Clay Ostwald and Jorge Casas, he also scored soundtracks for the Disney Japan, Disney Paris and Disney Orlando theme parks.

As a solo composer, he was awarded with a rare, multi-year publishing contract with Sony ATV/NY Music Publishing. His television credits are notable, among them, performing on Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jools Holland, BBC Sessions, The Wayne Brady Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC's Thursday Night Football, and multiple Grammy and American Music Award presentations.

2026 will find Tommy revisiting his musical roots, taking to the stage again in Miami where it all started. He will be fronting a new band celebrating his early era of original Power Pop songs, which launched his career over 45 years ago.
